I'm the kitty skeleton
Friday night, the Skeleton Krewe rolled with Krewe d'Etat. We were near the beginning of the parade and our job was to hand out newspapers explaining the floats in the parade. We also gave out wooden dubloons. Here's a photo - I'm in the kitty cat costume.

Best parade... for me to POOP on!
On Sunday afternoon, I rode my Hello Kitty bicycle to Armstrong Park to watch Barkus. So many cute dogs! There was a huge smile on my face as I handed out my bag of Snausages to small, medium and large doggies. The theme this year was "Indiana Bones and the Raiders of the Lost Bark." Many dogs and humans dressed alike, which worked for some people, but not for everyone. A surprising number of dogs were packing heat (part of the costume, of course). The only thing missing was Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog.
Stevie Wonder Cat
Punky has been home for a little over a week now. He's doing well but is still wobbly. He moves his head around like Stevie Wonder. Here's a photo showing how his shaved area.

Punky Update
Punky is out of surgery. It went well.
Little P. is in recovery now. He was trying to pull off the Elizabethan collar so they had to sedate him.
Bad kitty!

Pre-surgery Punky
Punky goes to the vet specialist tomorrow for surgery. He'll have a bulla osteotomy (or something very similar). He has polyps in his ears causing his middle ear infections. Be sure to check out the link and scroll down to see the photo of the polyp removed from some poor kitty's ear. Should I ask the vet to save the polyps for display in my home?
Most likely, little Punker will have to stay at the vet hospital for a few days - they have to drain the infection from his ears. Yuck.
I'll let you know how it goes and try to get a photo of him in the Elizabethan collar he will have to wear.

Girl Math
For those of you who know the TV show Weeds, you may recall an episode where the Kevin Nealon character refers to knowing how long one has been married or the ages of ones children as "girl math."
I have taken this concept one step further, writing girl math equations, such as:
rainbows + puppies = unicorns!
Last night I mentioned a girl math equation to some well-educated men and women. (I was explaining that I do girl math and solved an equation for them.) Most people laughed (that's what I was going for), but I got the feeling that I pissed off one person. Now, I realize that stereotypes that women can't do math and science exist and that it's been said that our brains are not wired for math or science. It was not my intention to perpetuate those unfounded assumptions. Also, I was referring to myself, not all females. So, dude, lighten up!

Hair Don't
My current hairdo is pretty long (for me) and it's not looking too good. Today it's kinda out of control... although that may be due to the 80 degree temperature and high humidity (not a complaint, just a statement of fact).
Should I get it cut short again? Super short (ala 2000-01), short (like in 2004), or a little shorter than now (2006- first quarter of 2007)? What do you think?
